Fallen tree disrupts traffic on Chorla Ghat | Goa News
Valpoi: Traffic on the Chorla Ghat road was disrupted for over an hour on Sunday morning after a large jungle tree fell across the road near Anjunem Dam at Keri in Sattari, blocking vehicular movement.The tree crashed onto the roadway at around 9.06am, leaving vehicles stranded on both sides and inconveniencing commuters travelling through the ghat section.After receiving an alert, a team from the Valpoi fire and emergency services, led by station officer Dyaneshwar Gawas, rushed to the spot and launched clearance operations. Fire personnel used chainsaws and other equipment to cut and remove the tree before clearing debris from the road.Traffic was restored after the team ensured the stretch was safe for motorists. No injuries or damage to vehicles were reported.The swift response by the fire service personnel helped minimise disruption, prevented a prolonged traffic blockade, and ensured the safe movement of vehicles through the ghat section.
