‘100% sure husband drugged and killed her’: Delhi techie’s father accuses son-in-law of ‘murder’ | Dehradun News
MUSSOORIE: Days after a Delhi-based techie was found dead under suspicious circumstances at a homestay in Mussoorie, her father P Sudhakar on Saturday accused his son-in-law of murdering her.“I’m 100% sure of her husband’s role. It is being claimed that my daughter was drunk but this is not true at all as she never used to drink alcohol,” said Sudhakar, alleging that his son-in-law had administered drugs to his daughter to make her unconscious and then kill her. He also alleged that the husband was harassing her for the past six months while he had been trying to pacify her.The victim, P Radha Gayatri, was a resident of Kidwai Nagar in Delhi and worked for a tech firm — UK-based Acuity Analytics — in Gurgaon, according to police. Her husband, Soumya Shricharan, is also a techie and is currently based in Pune. The couple had married on Nov 8, 2025, and they originally belonged to Visakhapatnam.Acting on the father’s complaint, Mussoorie police on Saturday registered a case under BNS section 103 (1) (murder) against unknown persons. Sudhakar said, “My son-in-law informed me that my daughter was unconscious and I immediately reached Mussoorie, but the police sent the body to Dehradun for postmortem.”Mussoorie station officer (SO), Devendra Chauhan, told TOI: “Police are conducting a thorough and impartial probe in the matter. The woman’s viscera had been sent to technical labs for further tests. Postmortem report is awaited.”After her death on June 15, the husband told the police that they had consumed alcohol and went to sleep around 3:30am. He claimed that upon waking up, he found his wife unconscious and bleeding from her nose.SO Chauhan had earlier said that the woman was found lying on the floor without clothes on her, and there was blood on the bed sheet. “We also recovered two empty liquor bottles from the room,” he added.According to police, the couple had travelled from Delhi to Rishikesh before arriving at the Mussoorie homestay around 11:30 pm on June 14.
