INDORE: A woman allegedly assaulted an intoxicated youth in the middle of a busy road in Indore’s MIG area late on Tuesday after he and his friend allegedly brushed their motorcycle against her and abused her. The incident, which was captured on camera and widely shared on social media, prompted police to take preventive action against the two men, although neither side has lodged a formal complaint.The incident took place near Aastha Talkies after the motorcycle ridden by the two men allegedly brushed against the woman. Police said the duo, identified as Sachin and residents of Rewa who work at a cement factory in Manawar, had arrived in Indore earlier in the day. They were allegedly under the influence of alcohol and began abusing the woman following the minor collision.Enraged by the alleged misconduct, the woman confronted the men and repeatedly slapped and kicked one of them on the road. The viral video shows the youth pleading for forgiveness as a crowd gathered at the spot. Several bystanders recorded the incident and shared the clips on social media.MIG Police Station in-charge CB Singh said neither side has submitted a formal complaint so far. However, after verifying the incident, police initiated preventive action against both men. Officials said the viral video is also being examined, and further action, if required, will be taken based on the findings of the investigation.
