TN govt transfers senior IAS officers including Supriya Sahu, J Radhakrishnan, Umanath | Chennai News
CHENNAI: Senior IAS officers including Supriya Sahu, J Radhakrishnan, P Umanath and Dheeraj Kumar and others have been transferred in Tamil Nadu govt’s latest bureaucratic rejig. Additional chief secretary Supriya Sahu, who headed the environment, climate change and forests department, has been posted to entrepreneurship, development and innovation institute as its commissioner. Sahu is replaced by senior officer Kakarla Usha who is secretary of the public and rehabilitation department. P Umanath, former chairman and managing director of the Tamil Nadu Civil Supplies Corporation , has been posted as industries commissioner and director of industries and commerce while additional chief secretary J Radhakrishnan, who served as Tangedco chairman and managing director, has been posted as director of Anna Administrative Staff College, and director general of training. V Arun Roy, who served as secretary to higher education department, will replace J Radhakrishnan. Roy will also serve as chairman of Tamil Nadu Power Generation Corporation, Tamil Nadu Transmission Corporation and Tamil Nadu Green Energy Corporation. Dheeraj Kumar, who was serving as additional chief secretary and commissioner of the Entrepreneurship Development and Innovation Institute (EDII), will replace Roy in the higher education department. Pradeep Yadav, who was additional chief secretary, Information Technology and Digital Services, has been shifted to head MSME department, while Atul Anand moves from MSME to head the Information Technology and Digital Services department. Nirmal Raj, who was Industries commissioner and director of industries and commerce, has been posted as transport secretary. M Vallalar, who was transport secretary, has been posted as labour department commissioner while E Sundaravalli has been posted as secretary of public and rehabilitation department. Sigy Thomas Vaidhyan has been transferred from being commissioner of disaster management department and has been posted as commissioner of transport and road safety, replacing Baskara Pandian, who is now posted as director of museums. R Gajalakshmi, commissioner of land administration, has been posted as commissioner of prohibition and excise. Mageswari Ravikumar, director of social welfare, becomes director of art and culture, while D Rathna, additional secretary in the housing and urban development department, has been appointed additional commissioner, HR&CE. R Brindha Devi moves from director of art and culture to director of social welfare. Pooja Kulkarni, commissioner of prohibition and excise, has been deputed as chief executive officer of the Tamil Nadu Infrastructure Development Board (TNIDB), while Waghe Sanket Balwant, additional collector (development) and project officer of the District Rural Development Agency in Coimbatore, has been appointed as executive director of the Tamil Nadu Industrial Development Corporation (TIDCO).
