Salman Khan calls out paparazzi over inappropriate back shots, reveals ‘There are women who pay them…’; Neha Dhupia thanks Bigg Boss 20 host for taking a stand

The latest Weekend Ka Vaar episode of Bigg Boss 20 was a star-studded affair, with several popular television and Bollywood celebrities making an appearance. While the show continues to grab attention for its contestants, host Salman Khan has also been making headlines for speaking out against body-shaming and criticising paparazzi for taking inappropriate back shots of women. In the latest WKV episode, Neha Dhupia, who appeared on the show to promote Roadies season 21, thanked Salman for his stand against body-shaming and schooling the paparazzi.Neha met Salman with the other gang leaders Prince Narula, Abhishek Malhan and host Rannvijay Singha. During his conversation, Rannvijay told Salman that Neha reached out to him after the WKV episode where Salman took a stand for the actresses. He shared that she wanted to thank the Sultan actor but was a little skeptical. However, Rannvijay simply asked her not to hold herself back and to text Salman.“I did not have a chance aur mujhe aaj mauka mila hai. You’re such a great voice and thank you for saying this and especially when you say it, it just becomes so important. I think wohi hai ke aap ki awaazein jitni aage tak jaa sakti hain. When you say it, it just becomes so so important,” said Neha.Salman said that the practice continued despite his earlier comments. He warned that strict action would be taken against those responsible and claimed that some celebrities, including both men and women, allegedly call photographers and pay them to capture such pictures.Salman said, “There are also some women and some guys who call them (paps) there, pay for them there, they ask them to do this. Woh bhi kya karein?” He also added how a few celebrities have no issues with such photos, but there are others who are not comfortable. He explained, “Jinko chahiye woh karo bhai. Jinko nahi chahiye unko choona nahi tum.”Salman also went on to warn the photographers taking such pictures. He said, “When you girls come and say ki ‘Yeh nahi karna’, uske baad karenge to phir dekhenge unko.” He further said that paparazzi seemed to be taking his earlier warning lightly and had continued doing the same thing. “Now they started doing even more but I’ll take a big stand on it. They think right now it is a joke. And, some big platforms are doing it. I’ll take full on action.“For the uninitiated, in one of the previous WKV episodes, Salman lashed out at the paparazzi for shooting actresses from behind and taking inappropriate shots of them. “Paparazzi hip shots lete hain, taangon ke shots lete hain, aur agar peeche se shot mil jaaye toh woh bhi lete hain. None of these heroines, none of the girls like it. Woh bacchi Sai Manjherekar jisko humne launch kiya tha uska shot liya tha.. she did not like it. Meri apni niece chal rahi hoti hai, toh peeche se uska shot le rahe hain aur caption daalte hain ‘Pehchaano ye kaun hai?’ I am saying all this to girls agar aisa ho toh ghoom ke ek chamat maaro aur bolo, ‘Apni maa-behen ka shot le lo.’ Disgusting people! What is this mentality?” Salman said.
