Trichy: A temporary computer operator dismissed by the district collector in Thanjavur for alleged irregularities earlier this month has been found to be back at work at the panchayat union office much to the discomfiture of other employees.Sudarshan, who was a temporary computer operator in the noon meal scheme section of the rural development and panchayat raj department, was removed from service following complaints of various irregularities, including bribery demands from employees.However, in a video taken by an employee, Sudarshan is seen working openly in the presence of the office manager, assistants, and other staff. When questioned by other employees, Sudarshan became aggressive.

Officials reportedly said he had been asked to continue because salaries for noon meal employees needed to be processed.Employees have expressed concern over an unauthorised person continuing to access data including family and service details of noon meal scheme employees in the Thanjavur union. A senior official of the rural development department said the district collector will inquire into the incident.
