Kannada star Rishab Shetty kept his outfit simple and stylish during his appearance at the Indian Film Festival of Melbourne. The ‘Kantara’ star chose to keep a simplistic and culturally rooted attire that showed where he comes from.
Rishab Shetty chooses a traditional look
Rishab Shetty wore a black silk-cotton kurta with a handwoven pure silk dhoti. The ivory dhoti had a zari border that added a small touch of richness to the outfit. The black kurta kept the overall look clean and easy.The two colours worked well together. The traditional dhoti gave the outfit a strong cultural feel, while the black kurta made the look suitable for an international red carpet.Rishab Shetty did not add too many extra details to the outfit. The focus stayed on the fabric, the colours and the traditional design.

Rishab Shetty carries Karnataka with him
Interestingly, Rishab Shetty’s outfit had the Gandaberunda embroidered on his kurta on the left side of the chest. The mythical two-headed bird is closely linked with Karnataka and is known as a symbol of strength, power and resilience. It brought a small part of Karnataka into Rishab’s appearance at an international event.
Rishab Shetty’s work front
On the work front, Rishab Shetty was last seen in the blockbuster film ‘Kantara: Chapter 1’ released in 2025. He is now working on his upcoming project playing the legendary Maratha warrior Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj in ‘The Pride of Bharat: Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj.’The film is said to be a grand scale and two part project. The first film is speculated to release in 2028, while the second chapter is planned for 2029. It is imperative to mention that the makers are yet to officially announce it.Additionally, he has also joined hands with ‘HanuMan’ fame director Prashanth Varma on the sequel, ‘Jai Hanuman’. The film also features Amritha Aiyer, Rana Daggubati, and Teja Sajja in important roles.
