PSEB launches online portal for certificate verification | Chandigarh News
Mohali: The Punjab School Education Board (PSEB), which receives 25,000 requests every year for verification of academic certificates, has launched an online portal to cross-check such documents.Announcing the initiative on Tuesday, PSEB chairperson Amarpal Singh said the new portal has been developed to ensure a tamper-resistant, end-to-end digital verification system that eliminates intermediaries and safeguards the authenticity of verification reports.He added that the board had noticed attempts by vested interests to interfere with the certificate verification process during transmission of reports. In some cases, the board was compelled to file criminal complaints against those involved. To prevent any such manipulation, the board has created a secure digital ecosystem where verification requests and reports are exchanged only through authorised digital channels between the requesting organisation and PSEB, the official said.
