ETimes rates ‘It’s a Medical Miracle’ 2.5 stars
ETimes gave ‘It’s a Medical Miracle’ 2.5 stars out of 5. The review praised Sangeeth Prathap’s effort while pointing to limitations in the writing of his character, Ruben.“Sangeeth works hard to bring out the layers in Ruben, and there are glimpses of a more complicated character in his performance. But the writing doesn’t give those complexities enough room to develop, leaving Ruben ultimately shallow on the page. The problem, then, lies less with what Sangeeth does with the character and more with how Ruben was conceived and written.Sharafudheen is fine as Suraj, but there isn’t much for him to work with. Apart from his ‘quirk’ and motivation, Suraj isn’t an especially memorable character. The basic idea has a lot of merit, but the execution — and the way his character is left hanging, with little to prop him up, much like Ruben — doesn’t help. The actors have made the most of what they have been given.”DISCLAIMER: The box office numbers and the data in this article are compiled from public and industry sources.
