MEERUT: A 30-year-old woman was allegedly gangraped while her 32-year-old brother was held at gunpoint by two cousins in a village in Meerut district.Police said on Saturday that the siblings had gone to the village to negotiate the purchase of a buffalo from the accused, who run a dairy in the area.In her complaint, the survivor alleged that after they reached the dairy, the accused locked them inside a room. They allegedly held her brother hostage at gunpoint and threatened to kill him before gangraping her.She further alleged that when the siblings tried to resist, the accused assaulted them and threatened to kill them if they disclosed the incident to anyone.The siblings approached police late on Friday and lodged a complaint. Station house officer Devendra Mishra told TOI, “We have registered a case against the two under BNS Sections 126 (wrongful restraint), 127 (wrongful confinement) and 63 (rape).”
