We have exclusively learnt that Sangita Ghosh, who plays Gulaab Brar in Sargun Mehta and Ravie Dubey’s Tu Juliet Jatt Di, has decided to exit the daily soap. The actress, who has been associated with the show since its inception, has served her notice period and is expected to complete shooting for her track in the next couple of days. The show premiered in November last year.A source associated with the show informs us, “Yes, Sangita has decided to exit the show and has served her notice period. Her track is scheduled to conclude in the next two to three days. Although her character was much-loved, she had informed us on multiple occasions that she was not creatively satisfied with her role and was unhappy with the way her character was progressing. We tried our best to make things work, but unfortunately, things did not fall into place. She has been professional throughout and has completed her commitments during the notice period. Her exit has been handled amicably, and there are no hard feelings on either side.”When contacted, Sangita did not deny the news but asked us to call her later.Sangita returned to television with Swaran Ghar in 2022, two years after Divya Drishti. Over the years, the actress has spoken about the importance of maintaining a balance between her professional commitments and personal life. Married to Jaipur-based entrepreneur Shailendra Singh Rathore for over a decade, she has often credited her husband and in-laws for supporting her career and enabling her to continue working in Mumbai after marriage. In a chat with us a few years ago, she shared, “It’s not that my husband and I don’t quarrel or argue, but he is extremely supportive, and so are my in-laws. I have been shooting in Mumbai for so many years after marriage. He comes to visit me once a month, or I go to Jaipur to spend time with him on my off days. That’s how we have managed whenever I have taken up a show.”The actress has also maintained that taking breaks between projects is important to her, allowing her to reconnect with her family and return to work with renewed energy. Sangita, who has been part of shows including Mehndi Tere Naam Ki, Des Mein Niklla Hoga Chand, Zameen Se Aasman Tak, Rabba Ishq Na Hove, Viraasat, Parvarrish – Season 2, Rishton Ka Chakravyuh and Saajha Sindoor, said, “It is important for me to make time for my family and myself. After every project, I feel ki jo kamaaya hai woh thoda kharch karu, ghoomu phiru, spend time with my loved ones. Also, I don’t like jumping from one project to another and working non-stop. I need to clean my slate, feel fresh, young and nervous like a newcomer again.”
