Hello CJP
A new political party called the Cockroach Janta Party sounds funny, but maybe it actually makes sense! Cockroaches have many “skills” that politicians might admire. They have long feelers to sense danger, quick legs to escape trouble, and they are super hard to get rid of. Even when people try really hard, cockroaches keep coming back.
Cockroaches are famous for surviving almost anything. They can squeeze into tiny spaces, adapt to new places, and keep going no matter what. That’s why the writer jokes that they would make perfect politicians — tough, clever, and impossible to defeat.
There are about 4,600 kinds of cockroaches in the world, living almost everywhere except Antarctica. Scientists believe one famous type, the German cockroach, actually came from an older Indian kind of cockroach over 2,000 years ago. So, in a way, Indian cockroaches “travelled” around the world long before humans did!
Scientists who study insects respect cockroaches because they are incredible survivors. They have been around since the time of the dinosaurs. Dinosaurs disappeared, but cockroaches stayed alive. Their hard outer shell protects them from being crushed, and they can survive huge pressure compared to their size.
So the writer says we should keep an eye on the Cockroach Janta Party. If it wants to truly match the name “cockroach,” it will need to be very strong, smart, and impossible to stop!
