‘Germany has become more Indian…you can see cricket being played in Tempelhofer’
Right in the middle of Berlin lies one of the largest curiosities any European capital has to offer. That sounds like a bold claim – Europe’s capitals are, after all, full of fascinating history and culture. But I mean large in the most literal sense of the word: over 950 acres, to be precise.
The Tempelhofer Feld, a former airfield turned vast public park, is where Berliners from all walks of life and all ages come together.
Carefree children; young people full of hope and ideas for the future; and the elderly, who over the decades have watched Berlin transform from a divided city, scarred by its history, into a cosmopolitan, confident, and delightfully quirky place.
