Wake-up call, not poll bugle
We kill greed, yet it rises again. All Asian cultures criticise and condemn greed, reflected in folk cultures and oral traditions. Yet, it reappears, repeatedly. Incidents over the last few months, such as NEET-paper leak or the Ram Janmabhoomi Mandir theft, all reveal the root cause – greed.
The Ram temple embezzlement severely jolted people’s faith, raising urgent ethical and moral questions. It is more a socio-ethical and transparency issue, but is evolving as a political issue by the day, with opposition parties amplifying the matter particularly in UP, headed for assembly elections in months.
