16 passengers injured after KSRTC bus hits a truck in Nellore district | Vijayawada News
Tirupati: Over 16 passengers sustained injuries after the Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) bus in which they were travelling, rammed into a truck near Chembadipalem village in Pellakuru mandal at Nellore district on Friday.According to local CI Sangameswara Rao, the speeding KSRTC bus rammed into a stationary truck laden with wooden logs on the national highway near Nellore. The impact of the accident was so severe that the front portion of the KSRTC bus heading to Nellore from Bengaluru was severely damaged.While passers-by helped the injured passengers to disembark, the local police rushed to the accident spot and shifted all the 16 injured passengers to the govt area hospital at Nayudupeta. Police registered a case and are investigating.
