The closing performance brings the curtain down on the opening ceremony that began at 6;45pm, setting the tone for the fourth edition of the Women’s Premier League. With the ceremony concluded, attention now shifts to the match, scheduled to begin at 7:30 PM, as the defending champions Mumbai Indians take on Royal Challengers Bengaluru in the first game of the season.

Mumbai Indians enter the new season as the most successful team in WPL history with two titles, while Royal Challengers Bengaluru have won the tournament once. Delhi Capitals have finished runners-up in each of the previous three editions.
