Not new to the world of acting, Saba Azad, a theatre-trained actor was recently seen as the feisty Preity Sen, a photography enthusiast in Mujhse Fraaandship Karoge. Niece of theatre legend Safdar Hashmi, Saba spent her childhood in a creative atmosphere with theatre veterans MK Raina and Habib Tanvir and has also acted in children’s film and plays.
At a young age of six, she started learning Odissi dance. Her love for dancing compelled her to learn other forms such as Ballet, Jazz and Latin. While in Delhi, she was busy walking the ramp and choreographing shows as a contemporary dancer. Once she moved to Mumbai She started acting in commercials for brands like Kit Kat, Vodafone, Sunsilk, Nescafe, Mayur Suitings, Masterstroke, Dabur Juice to name a few.
Saba is a trained musician; she has lent her voice to various jingles and music bands. This multi-talented artist also sings for large audiences, thus explains her regular visits to Delhi where she performs. Her enthusiasm for her creative art and passion for theatre influenced her to run a theatre company, along with like minded people, by the name of The Skins.
