Sometimes the wisest ideas come from children. Two cheerful boys from a village in Tamil Nadu have shown that adults can learn from kids too.

Pre-teen brothers Deva and Jiva make very short videos — just 20 to 40 seconds long — for Instagram and YouTube. In their simple reels, they talk about things like the value of education, not comparing yourself with richer people, and remembering how hard parents work to send their children to school.

The boys come from a village in Cuddalore district in the state of Tamil Nadu. Even though they are young and from a modest family, their videos have become popular online. Recently, their fame even took them to meet the state’s chief minister, M. K. Stalin, giving them a brief moment of big attention.

Their videos are simple, funny, and thoughtful. Clearly, their parents support and encourage them, which shows good parenting. As they grow older and become teenagers, their ideas will probably change — that’s a normal part of growing up.

But for now, their creativity shows something important: the internet can give anyone a voice. Social media has made it possible for even children from small villages to share their ideas with the world.

One of their reels is especially memorable. In it, the younger brother keeps scrolling endlessly on his phone.

The older brother asks, “What are you doing all day?”

The younger one replies, “Watching reels.”

Then comes the lesson: If you spend all your time watching others succeed, you may never create your own success.

It’s a small message, but a powerful one — almost like a short moral story from the Panchatantra. And it reminds us that sometimes, the smartest advice can come from the youngest voices.
