BHOPAL: A speeding truck allegedly rammed into a car and dragged it for nearly one-and-a-half kilometres before stopping in Gwalior on Saturday evening. All three passengers in the car escaped unhurt.Police said that the incident took place near Dabra–Gwalior highway, where the truck rammed into a car and dragged it along before stopping near a Park.
The accident took place between 6.30 pm and 7 pm near a culvert close to Bajhera village, just outside the Tekanpur limits. Thin which three persons were travelling.

After the collision, the car became lodged in the front portion of the truck. Instead of stopping immediately, the truck driver continued driving, dragging the car up to the stretch in front of Park, said sources. Eyewitnesses said motorists on the highway tried to alert the truck driver by honking and signalling. The vehicle eventually came to a halt ahead, following which local residents gathered at the spot.Despite the intensity of the impact and the distance the car was dragged, all three occupants managed to escape without any injuries, police confirmed.A video of the incident surfaced on Sunday, showing the damaged car stuck to the truck’s front as it was being dragged along the road. The footage has since gone viral on social media.Police have begun an inquiry into the incident and are examining CCTV footage from nearby locations to establish the sequence of events. Further action will be taken based on the findings, officials said.
