Massive blaze at Kuwait airport after Iran drone strike, fuel tanks hit
Kuwait’s fire department said the blaze has now been fully extinguished after nearly 58 hours of continuous efforts. Despite the scale of the fire and damage to critical infrastructure, authorities reported no casualties.The country’s Civil Aviation Authority said multiple drones targeted the airport, causing “significant damage” to its radar systems. A spokesperson later blamed Iran, along with allied armed groups and proxies, for carrying out the strike.The strike on Kuwait comes as Iran expands its aerial campaign beyond Israel, targeting countries hosting US military facilities. In recent days, missiles have been launched towards Jerusalem, while attacks have also been reported in the United Arab Emirates and Oman.
