Imphal: BJP MLA and former Manipur legislative assembly speaker Yumnam Khemchand on Wednesday reiterated that peace and dialogue are the only ways to resolve the prolonged crisis in Manipur, stressing that harmony must be upheld despite repeated provocations from certain quarters.He was speaking on the sidelines of a medical camp held at the Alternative Housing Complex relief camp at Langol in Imphal West, where hundreds of internally displaced persons (IDPs) from Moreh and Churachandpur are currently residing. Referring to his recent visit to Litan, where he interacted with Kuki IDPs, Khemchand said there is a widespread desire for peace among people across communities. Many displaced families, the MLA said, conveyed their strong hope of returning home, underlining a collective yearning for normal life and peaceful coexistence.On Christmas eve and as the New Year nears, he prayed for the restoration of peace in the state and expressed optimism that displaced families would soon be able to return and rebuild their lives.
