'Hey Balwanth’ Twitter review: Suhas starrer first half clicks with audiences; Netizens call it fun and engaging
Gopi Atchara’s ‘Hey Balwanth’ has hit screens, with early reviews praising its first-half comedy and a strong father-son emotional core. While the initial half and interval comedy land well, the post-interval drama receives mixed reactions for being routine. The film is being called a family entertainer, with praise for its cast and emotional climax.

Gopi Atchara directorial ‘Hey Balwanth’ starring Suhas Pagolu, Shivani Nagaram, Naresh Vijay Krishna and Vennela Kishore has released on the silver screen today. The Internet is sharing its initial take of the film. Early reviews of the movie suggest fans are enjoying the first half.

First half comedy gets a thumbs up

Internet users on X (formerly Twitter) have shared their reviews where they have called it funny and looking well pre-interval. They wrote, “Hey Balwanth runs on a wacky hook (the “business” as promoted) that delivers as long as the narrative sticks to fun. Pre-interval and interval comedy portions land well. But, post interval when it turns to drama the narrative fails to engage due to its routine and peachy nature. In the end, the movie ends up being a passable affair at best due to the mismatch in emotions (fun and drama) and connection (with the message). Try it for the fun parts.”

Post-interval drama draws mixed reactions

Another internet user added that the plot of “business” in the film works, but gets repetitive. “The first half is passable, with a few fun scenes and an interval stretch that lands well. The second half, however, goes nowhere. The comedy stops working, and the emotional third act feels tiring. Sudharshan gets a good role and his one liners keep the film moving. Naresh’s role is underwhelming. Songs are major speed breakers.”They also added, “The comedy revolves around a “business” that works at first but quickly turns repetitive. The justification is also unconvincing. Few fun scenes do work here and there but the narrative as a whole lacks the substance to hold attention. Below Average!”

Audience calls It a family entertainer

A fan also enjoyed the film’s father-son relationship aspect. “#HeyBalwanth is a pakka entertainer. Best pair Suhas–Shivani. Melody song super feel. Interval twist shock, Naresh performance & comedy blast. Father-son bonding scenes emotional ga hit ayyayi. Overall good watch,” they wrote.Another user praised the cast of the film, “Melody song vibes super, Suhas–Shivani best pair. Lead actors performance natural ga connect ayindi. Interval twist shock ichindi! Sudarshan, Vennela Kishore, Naresh comedy blast. Father–son emotion & climax emotional scenes heart touch ayyai Must watch!”
