Student dies by suicide in Sheikhpura | Patna News

In a tragic event, Kunal Kumar, a 22-year-old student studying Dietetics in Sheikhpura, Bihar, was found deceased in an apparent suicide at his home. His family discovered him hanging, and he was subsequently rushed to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Biharsharif: A second-year student of the District Institute of Education and Training (DIET), Sheikhpura, allegedly died by suicide by hanging himself at his home at Barui village under Sadar police station on Thursday morning. The deceased was identified as Kunal Kumar (22), son of Yugal Yadav.According to police, family members found his body hanging from a ceiling fan and rushed him to a private clinic before he was referred to Sheikhpura Sadar Hospital, where doctors declared him dead. His elder brother Ajit Kumar, said Kunal was a bright student and had skipped his training duty at a school in Wazidpur village on Wednesday.Sheikhpura sadar police station SHO Dharmensra Kumar said, “Action will be taken after a formal complaint is lodged by the victim’s family.”Police said a teacher had messaged him on WhatsApp regarding his absence, and he had replied that he would attend the next day. The family suspects that a personal relationship issue may have led him to take the extreme step. Police said further action would be taken if a written complaint is lodged.Kunal was undergoing primary teacher training at DIET Sheikhpura and was posted at a school in Wazidpur as part of his practical training.
