Maternity & child unit becomes fully operational at Ara hospital | Patna News
Ara: The maternity and child unit at Ara Sadar Hospital became fully operational from Wednesday, aiming to strengthen maternal and child healthcare services in the district.“The unit offers OPD and ANC clinic services along with round-the-clock emergency care. Comprehensive arrangements have been made for antenatal and postnatal services, ensuring proper and timely care for pregnant women. Three state-of-the-art operation theatres have been made operational, including one emergency OT and two general OTs,” said Bhojpur district public relations officer on Thursday.To enhance maternity services, a nine-bed delivery ward has been established, comprising three emergency delivery beds and six general delivery beds.According to district health officials, the unit is also equipped with essential diagnostic support such as ultrasound facilities, improving the accuracy and efficiency of medical examinations and treatment.“The district administration considers this initiative a significant step towards strengthening healthcare delivery, ensuring improved and accessible medical services for the residents of Bhojpur,” said a statement from the Bhojpur DM on Thursday.
