Karnataka Woman Robs Gujarat Businessman After Getting Him Drunk | Goa News
Panaji: Goa police registered an FIR against a woman from Karnataka for allegedly decamping with gold ornaments of a businessman from Gujarat worth over Rs 15 lakh by forcefully administering him alcohol in a hotel after befriending him.Panaji police registered the FIR based on the complaint of 30-year-old businessman Tomesh Yadav. DySP Nilesh Rane said that at the hotel, accused Roopashree C, a resident of Bengaluru, befriended the complainant and induced him to spend time together and book a hotel room.Rane said that the accused forcefully administered alcohol to the complainant, due to which he became intoxicated and lost consciousness. Rane said the accused woman then decamped with gold articles including a gold kada weighing approximately 40.5g, a gold chain weighing approximately 50g, which the complainant was wearing, and cash amount of Rs 2.4 lakh.Rane said that the accused fled after the incident, thereby committing a theft amounting to Rs 15.4 lakh.Further investigation is in progress under PSI Nitin Naik.
