Aditya Redij believes his TV career is shaped by his choices, finding continuous work a reward in itself. He acknowledges the industry’s tendency to typecast actors but feels fortunate to have explored various genres. While open to OTT and films, television remains his current focus.

Aditya Redij has spent years navigating the unpredictable rhythms of the TV industry — one where actors often find themselves boxed into certain kinds of roles. Yet, the actor believes his journey has been shaped as much by his own choices as by the industry itself. Rather than measuring success through titles or positioning, Aditya says that simply staying active as an actor is reward enough.“I think it comes down to the choices that I make. So maybe continuously working is my due,” he says. He points out that sustaining a career in television is not always easy. Actors who become popular in a particular kind of role are often offered similar parts repeatedly, leaving little room to experiment with different characters.“You know how difficult it is in daily shows, especially with the tendency to get typecast. As an actor and performer, you’re often not able to grab different kinds of opportunities. You’re served the same thing again and again, or you’re expected to do the same thing,” he explains. Despite this industry reality, Aditya feels fortunate that his career has allowed him to explore a range of genres. Over the years, he has appeared in varied roles across television, something he considers a matter of luck as well as persistence. “In that sense, I’ve been lucky because I’ve worked across almost all the genres that exist in the industry — except horror, maybe,” he says with a smile. “But honestly, I don’t think too much about it. I just keep doing my work,” he says.With the entertainment landscape evolving rapidly, actors today have more platforms than ever before — from television and films to OTT. Redij, who is currently seen in the show Dr Aarambhi, acknowledges these expanding opportunities, though television remains his present comfort zone.“As a performer, I would definitely like to explore different mediums. For now, television is good. Of course, I’d love to work on OTT and in films as well. There have been opportunities in the past, but nothing that truly excited me,” he says.
