Honor of Kings expands to India with new update: Here’s what’s changing

The India launch coincides with the release of the Honor of Kings Flow Update, which introduces a new hero named Yango, along with gameplay additions and adjustments to existing characters. The update also introduces a new in-game companion, the Super Flow Spriteling, and expands players’ customisation options. Developers said the update is intended to add new gameplay mechanics and provide players with more options to personalise their in-game experience. The Super Flow Spriteling adds new abilities that players can activate during gameplay. The companion provides one of three skills. Runsie allows players to drink a shrink potion that knocks back nearby enemies and increases movement speed while slightly reducing damage output. Bigly enables players to drink an enlarged potion that increases maximum health but reduces movement speed. On the other hand, Coolio allows players to reduce skill cooldown times by one second, up to three times, while consuming a portion of the player’s current health. Each skill has a cooldown period of 60 seconds. The developers have also announced a limited-time event called Super Flow Day Perks beginning March 14. The event offers a variety of in-game rewards, including tokens and other items that players can use within the game.Players participating in the event can collect tokens and redeem up to 5,000 limited-time tokens starting March 14, with a guaranteed minimum of 888 tokens. Between March 14 and March 15, players logging into the game will receive 10 free draws in the Point Draw system along with a new Flowborn outfit. The update also introduces 15 new skins available for purchase using limited-time tokens beginning March 11. All heroes and skins will be available for players to try for a limited period. Other event activities include a limited-time Yango skin sale, double partner event points and a Ramadan-themed Spriteling available starting March 11. A Ramadan Green Packet Shower event scheduled between March 20 and March 22 will allow players to receive up to 10,000 tokens. The update introduces the new hero Yango, available for purchase at 588 token vouchers or 13,888 star stones. During the first week of release, Yango will be available at a discounted price of 294 token vouchers.Several existing heroes have also received gameplay adjustments. Nezha now enables full-map vision and can provide faster support across the map. Luara’s first skill range has been increased to match the range of basic attacks, and the hero’s ultimate ability now deals more serious damage.Changes have also been made to the character Fatih. The hero’s attack speed has been adjusted, and the ultimate ability now provides additional attack power while enhanced basic attacks restore health twice. Developers also said the slash attack animation has been made smoother. The update also includes several quality-of-life changes aimed at improving the player experience. The Play as You Download feature now includes an updated progress page to help players more easily track download status.Developers have also reduced the required storage size by optimising the game’s package. Essential content will occupy less storage space, while optional content will download automatically only when sufficient storage is available. New players will also see expanded tutorials and tips designed to help them understand gameplay mechanics. The update even introduces new customisation options for players. Ten official lobby background music tracks, including esports-themed and regional theme songs, are now available for players to select. Additional customisation options for downloads and loading screens have also been added. The developers have announced a community initiative called the Super Flow Brawl gameplay challenge.
