10-minute Chinese exercise that Malaika Arora swears by

That’s right! You don’t really have to spend hours in a gym or do extreme regimens to burn fat. Sometimes, a 10-minute workout is what you need. The best part? You don’t need an expensive gym membership or fancy equipment to do these exercises. In a video shared on Instagram, Malaika Arora can be seen practising the movements. Some of the movements include arm circles, which improve mobility, flexibility, and blood flow in the shoulder joints, deltoids, and upper back. It is combined with shoulder lift, which may contribute to more defined shoulders. Malaika Arora shared a video and said, “Did you know this is one of the fastest and most effective ways to burn body fat?”She also pointed out that consistency is the best fat-loss medicine. “Attention, just 10 minutes of this Chinese exercise replaces your entire medicine cabinet. The Chinese call this the key to healthy longevity,” the voice-over in the video says. Check out the video here.

Fitness as a way of living

For Malaika Arora, fitness is more than just looking pretty or toned. It is more about being healthy and living a full life. In her book, It’s Easy to Be Healthy: Malaika’s Guide to Living a Good Life, the actress speaks about how she wasn’t born ‘flawless’ with clear skin or a great metabolism as many would assume. Her fitness is a result of years of disciplined nutrition, regular exercise, and a genuine commitment to living well. “I wasn’t born with flawless skin or a fiery metabolism. My weight has fluctuated, my skin has broken out, and my hair has thinned – just like anyone else’s. I don’t think what sets me apart is luck; I believe it’s just consistency. Over the years, I’ve tried countless routines, diets, skincare products, and holistic therapies. Some things worked; others didn’t. But through it all, what stayed with me was the discipline to show up for myself every single day.”Malaika Arora practices yoga. For fitness, she likes to do a mix of activities such as HIIT, walking, running, and swimming, among others. “I always say one hour of exercise is all you need. You don’t have to live at the gym – just make that one hour count. Pair that with a good, nutritious diet, and you’re golden. But here’s the catch: if you’re eating right and training hard but skimping on sleep, it can undo all that effort. There’s no point pushing yourself in the gym if you’re staying up until 4 a.m. and undoing it all with poor sleep and food choices,” she said in the book.
