The deleted scene dropped by director Akhil Sathyan features Roopesh Namboothiri (Aju Varghese) preparing for his online exorcism consultation! Yes, you read that right! His client is in Canada. He started this whole virtual exorcism during the COVID-19 pandemic lockdown. Everything went virtual, so why not an exorcism? And, yes, Roopesh aka Rupa is packed. He has a booking the day after tomorrow. The client is a Keralite who went to China to study medicine, but started speaking Chinese after coming across the dead body of an old man! Akhil Sathyan released the deleted scene on YouTube. “After running away from Delulu in the morning, Prabhendu comes to meet Roopesh right after visiting the psychiatrist, Dr. Raphael,” the caption reads. ‘Sarvam Maya’ completes 25 days in the theatres

Helmed by Akhil Sathyan, son of veteran filmmaker Sathyan Anthikad, ‘Sarvam Maya’ is now running successfully in the theatres. The film features Nivin Pauly, Aju Varghese, Riya Shibu, and Janardhanan in the lead roles. ‘Sarvam Maya’ revolves around Prabhendu, a priest and an unconventional ghost. The film has completed 25 days in the theatres, and the film is inching closer to Rs 150 crore at the worldwide box office collection, according to a report by Sacnilk. TOI ranked the film 3.5 out of 5, and the review reads, “This is not a film with layered meanings or profound storytelling. Its strength lies in its simplicity. The humour is organic and gentle, earning warm-hearted laughs from the audience. The evolution of the story is clear to see—the small moments that push the narrative forward, the subtle changes in the characters, and the careful handling of a subject that could easily have invited criticism. The film feels well thought out.”
