Abhijeet Dipke: ‘Lawrence Bishnoi sahab’: Abhijeet Dipke questions Delhi Police’s treatment of gangsters vs protesters, shares old clip | Delhi News
NEW DELHI: Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) founder Abhijeet Dipke on Monday shared an old video of a Delhi Police DCP official referring to gangster Lawrence Bishnoi as “Sahab” during a press conference, questioning the police’s treatment of activists and students.“Lawrence Bishnoi Sahab. The respect Delhi Police has for gangsters.Wish they showed even 10% of this courtesy to students and activists who are doing nothing but protest,” Dipke said in his post. The video, which dates back to late August 2025, had gone viral at the time and has now resurfaced following a social media post claiming responsibility for a firing incident targeting actor Tiger Shroff in Mumbai on Sunday.A message attributed to Anil Pandit, described as an aide of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, claimed that Pandit and Harman Sandhu took responsibility for the shooting. The authenticity of the post is being verified. The message claimed that the actor had previously been contacted and warned, but allegedly ignored the warnings. It also threatened members of the Mumbai film industry, saying those who failed to heed the gang’s demands or continued working with actor Salman Khan could be targeted next. The post also contained threats against rival gang members and hashtags referring to the Lawrence Bishnoi group and its alleged associates.Security agencies and local law enforcement are monitoring social media activity to trace the origin of the message and assess the credibility of the threats against members of the entertainment industry. The resurfacing of the old police video has drawn attention to Dipke’s criticism of the alleged contrast between the treatment of gangsters and that of people protesting peacefully.
