REWARI: A murder case has emerged from Dharuhera, where a man was allegedly picked up on suspicion of theft, assaulted and, after his death, secretly buried at a dairy farm in Bhatsana village.Police recovered the body on September 6 and arrested Yogesh alias Golu, while efforts are underway to trace the other suspects.The case came to light after police received information that a body had been buried beneath the soil at a dairy farm.A woman at the spot reportedly helped police identify the suspected burial site.The Scene of Crime team was called in and, in the presence of a duty magistrate, police dug up a nearly three-foot-deep pit and recovered the body.Police also collected soil, salt and clothing material from the spot. Since the identity of the deceased was not immediately known, the body was shifted to the mortuary at Rewari Civil Hospital.The deceased was later identified as Nisar, a resident of Damdama village in Rajasthan’s Khairthal-Tijara region.According to his family, Nisar had left home on September 5, saying he was going to Tijara for work. He never returned.His father, Jameel, subsequently approached Dharuhera police and lodged a complaint, following which a murder case was registered.According to the police version, Nisar was allegedly caught on suspicion of theft during the early hours of September 5-6, around 4am to 5am, near Boss Road.He was allegedly assaulted with sticks, kicks and punches. Police said the alleged assault involved the two sons of a dairy operator and two associates, while other people from the colony are also believed to have reached the spot.Nisar allegedly suffered serious injuries and died while an attempt was being made to take him to hospital, police said.Investigators allege that after his death, the body was placed in a vehicle and taken to Gaurav’s dairy farm in Bhatsana, where a pit was dug and the body buried in an attempt to conceal the crime.Taking the case seriously, Rewari SP Hemendra Kumar Meena directed special teams of the CIA and Dharuhera police to identify and arrest the suspects.The investigation is being led on the ground by Dharuhera SHO Phool Kumar, while DSP Headquarters Sanjeev Balhara briefed the media on the developments during a press conference.Police arrested Yogesh alias Golu and obtained his remand for further questioning.According to police, Yogesh told investigators that he had received a phone call informing him that a person suspected of theft had been caught, following which he reached the spot.Police are now examining his statement against forensic evidence, witness accounts and post-mortem findings.The investigation continues to focus on several crucial questions: Why was Nisar suspected of theft? Who initiated the assault? How many people were involved? Who transported the body, dug the pit and buried it?With one arrest already made, police are conducting raids to trace the remaining suspects.The allegations against the accused are subject to investigation and due process of law.
