Delhi Metro warns content creators over 'phone-sticking' reel trend

NEW DELHI: The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has warned social media content creators against shooting videos by sticking their mobile phones to Metro train windows while the train is moving. The warning comes after multiple videos showing the trend surfaced on social media over the past few days.In the videos, content creators “stick” their phones to the window glass of a Metro train and, as soon as the train starts moving, run alongside it to create a cinematic effect. The DMRC said the practice could cause inconvenience or even injury to other passengers and could also damage the mobile phones being used to shoot the videos.“DMRC authorities are viewing this with all seriousness and if any content creator is caught indulging in such a shoot, necessary action shall be taken.”The DMRC has directed content creators not to shoot such videos within Delhi Metro premises. The warning comes as such videos have gained attention on social media, with creators using the moving train and running alongside it as part of their video shoots.
