Ather Konarc launched in India! Price, range, features and more
Ather Energy has launched the new Konarc electric scooter in India, with prices starting at Rs 99,999, ex-showroom. The Konarc is the first production scooter based on Ather’s new EL platform, which has been developed with a focus on everyday usability, simpler servicing, easier charging and keeping costs in check.The Konarc will be available in S and Z lines, with different battery and range options planned for the scooter.At launch, Ather has announced prices for three S variants. The Konarc S 100 is priced at Rs 99,999 and offers a claimed IDC range of 100 km. The S 125 costs Rs 1,21,999 and uses the same 2.1 kWh battery but gets a claimed range of 125 km. The S 161 is priced at Rs 1,44,999 and gets a larger 3.5 kWh battery paired with a 4.7 kW electric motor. It has a claimed IDC range of 161 km and a top speed of 70 kmph.Ather is also working on a Konarc S variant with a claimed 200 km range, while prices for this version and the Z line variants have not been announced yet. The S line is positioned with a focus on range, while the Z line is aimed at offering a higher 80 kmph top speed.The Konarc uses a steel unibody chassis and follows a conventional family-scooter design. It gets an LED DRL integrated into the front apron, a flat footboard and a single-piece flat seat. There is 31-litre storage space underneath the seat, while the rear gets a U-shaped LED tail-lamp.\Ather says the architecture adds onboard charging, AeBS and longer 10,000 km service intervals.In terms of features, the Konarc gets a USB Type-C charging port, AutoHold, FallSafe and AirWalk. It also comes with Bluetooth connectivity, Ather Connect, theft and tow alerts, Find My Scooter and over-the-air updates.The Konarc S 100 is priced at Rs 99,999, the S 125 at Rs 1,21,999 and the S 161 at Rs 1,44,999, all ex-showroom. Pricing for the S 200 and Z line variants will be announced later.
