30-year-old man found dead in Chhola, family alleges murder | Bhopal News
Bhopal: A 30-year-old man was found dead under suspicious circumstances near Kalyan Nagar in Chhola area past midnight on Saturday. His family alleged he was beaten to death, while police said the injuries could also be consistent with an accident and they are awaiting the post-mortem report to establish the cause of death.The deceased was identified as Zeeshanuddin, a resident of Gautam Nagar, who worked in the private sector. Police said he left home on his motorcycle around 9 pm on Friday to visit his brother-in-law’s house in Kalyan Nagar. His family last spoke to him around 9.30 pm, after which he stopped answering calls.His body was later found near a mazar past midnight. His motorcycle and mobile phone were found near the body, while a pair of slippers was lying a short distance away. The body bore injury marks, prompting the family to suspect foul play.Chhola police said they examined CCTV footage from around the spot after the family alleged murder. “The footage did not indicate that the deceased was involved in any assault. There was an altercation in the area, but the deceased was not part of it. The footage was also shown to the family,” Chhola police said.Police handed over the body to the family after post-mortem on Saturday. Further investigation is underway.
