NEW DELHI: A simmering two-month-long anger over another man may have culminated in a deadly confrontation inside a 21-year-old Delhi University student Muskan’s home, with police suspecting that jealousy drove Imran, a former gym trainer, to allegedly stab her multiple times, news agency PTI reported quoting officials on Thursday. The fresh details offer a possible motive behind the brutal killing of Muskan, a second-year student of Delhi University’s School of Open Learning and a model, whose murder inside her Tilak Nagar home had earlier triggered a search for her suspected attacker, Imran, 26.As per the PTI report, Muskan and Imran, who is currently unemployed, had known each other for around one-and-a-half years. Police suspect Imran had been angry with her for nearly two months because she was talking to another person. What police suspect happened before the killingPolice suspect that the tension eventually turned violent on Wednesday evening when Imran allegedly went to Muskan’s home while she was alone. An argument reportedly broke out between the two before Imran allegedly attacked her with a knife and fled, according to police. The investigation is also examining the nature of their relationship and what happened in the period leading up to the murder.
