Mumbai biker Riddhi Thakkar, 24, dies in crash on Chhattisgarh NH-30

Riddhi Thakkar (in picture) was a resident of Kandivali West in Mumbai. She was travelling with a group of around 20 bikers from Raipur towards Kanker in Bastar region.

RAIPUR: Riddhi Thakkar, a 24-year-old biker from Mumbai died after her motorcycle collided with a trailer truck on National Highway-30 near Markatola Ghat in Chhattisgarh’s Dhamtari district on Wednesday morning.Riddhi Thakkar was a resident of Kandivali West in Mumbai. She was travelling with a group of around 20 bikers from Raipur towards Kanker in Bastar region.The accident took place around 6am near Markatola, after her motorcycle collided with a trailer truck coming from the opposite direction. The impact left the motorcycle badly damaged and Riddhi seriously injured.Fellow bikers immediately took her to a private hospital in Dhamtari, where doctors treated her for severe injuries. However, she died during treatment.

Police reached the hospital, completed the necessary formalities and sent Riddhi’s body for post-mortem. Her family was informed about the incident.The accident left members of the biking group in shock. Police are questioning fellow riders to establish the circumstances leading to the collision and are conducting further investigation.
