Almora tragedy: 19-year-old girl burnt to death, father critically injured in house blaze | Dehradun News

ALMORA: A 19-year-old girl was burnt to death while her father sustained serious injuries in a house fire at Diyari village in Ramgarh block, located on the Nainital–Almora district border, late Wednesday night. The fire reportedly broke out around 11 pm at the residence of Govind Lal under unknown circumstances. The victim, identified as Meena Arya, was inside the room when the fire started. Her father was injured while attempting to rescue her. Fire teams from Almora, along with police and local villagers, brought the blaze under control. The cause of the fire is yet to be determined, and police are investigating the incident.
