Ohanna Shivanand: Exclusive – Dill Mill Gaye’ fame Ohanna Shivanand recalls ‘sooo much drama’ on sets, says ‘creatives would find it difficult’ to bring it back
Ohanna Shivanand, previously known as Shilpa Anand is best remembered for playing Dr. Riddhima Gupta in the popular show Dill Mill Gaye. The actress opened up about her memories from the sets, staying in touch with co-stars, and what she’s doing these days.Dill Mill Gaye still has a massive fan following. Ask her about a memory that stands out and she laughs instantly and shares, “The locker room. I think my head was stuck there… But I really remember the prank that was played on me in the morgue scene. It was crazy.”The DMG cast was extremely close. Who does she still speak to? “I am in touch with Dr. Anjali — Sunaina Gulia. She also played my elder sister in the show. We can talk for hours on the phone. And Ayaz Khan who was Dr. Shubhankar Rai and Karan Wahi, our Dr. Siddhant Modi in the show. I just recently got in touch with him over messages.”With old shows making comebacks, fans often ask about DMG returning. She continued with a smile, “Oh there was like so much drama on the sets… it would be extremely difficult for the creatives to handle all that. But if they can, I’m in.”What is she currently up to? She tells, “Meeting lawyers to sort out some legal stuff of my mom’s after she passed away. That’s more or less sorted now. Initially it was a lot to understand, but I got a very good lawyer — Adv. Amit Pai. He’s been a blessing in disguise for me. I’ve also been busy with a little bit of real estate and investments.”Fans miss her on-screen. Is a comeback on the cards? “Oh I’m sure. I’ve started working out too. I have got to be fit. And also I’m so filmy,” she signs off.Ohanna has also starred in Indian films like Vishnu, and also appeared in music videos and television commercials. She was last seen in the Bollywood film Yeh Hai Lollipop.
