Haryana weather: Cyclonic circulation, monsoon trough to trigger widespread rain till Aug 6 | Chandigarh News
Hisar: A cyclonic circulation over northeast Rajasthan and the northward shift of the monsoon trough are expected to trigger a fresh spell of widespread rainfall across Haryana from Aug 4 to Aug 6, the department of agricultural meteorology at Chaudhary Charan Singh Haryana Agricultural University (CCS HAU), Hisar, said on Monday.The department said the northern limit of the monsoon trough is expected to extend from Bikaner through Delhi, Lucknow and Patna to the Bay of Bengal, while the cyclonic circulation over northeast Rajasthan is likely to strengthen the inflow of monsoon winds into Haryana.Under its influence, most districts are likely to receive light to moderate rain accompanied by thunderstorms and gusty winds between Aug 4 and Aug 6. Heavy rainfall is likely at isolated places, raising the possibility of localised waterlogging in vulnerable areas.The weather is expected to ease on Aug 7 and 8, with partly cloudy skies and isolated light showers. Intermittent cloud cover is likely to keep maximum temperatures slightly below normal, while minimum temperatures may rise marginally.Dr Madan Khichar, head of the department of agricultural meteorology at CCS HAU, advised farmers and residents to monitor weather updates and plan agricultural and outdoor activities accordingly, particularly in view of the possibility of heavy rain in some areas.
