Jaipur: Teenage Rajasthan shuttler Parul Choudhary created history by winning the All India Junior (U-19) National Ranking Badminton tournament held in Bhubaneswar, which also served as the selection tourney for the BWF World Junior Badminton Championships.In the final on Saturday, seventeen-year-old Parul, seeded third, beat tenth seed Tamil Nadu’s Diksha SR 20-18, 15-7 to clinch the title.Earlier in the semi-finals, Churu girl Parul stunned second seed Shaina Manimuthu 18-16, 15-7 to book her spot in the final.With this remarkable victory, Parul has earned a place in the Indian team for the BWF World Juniors, to be held in Egypt. She has also become the first girl from Rajasthan to represent India at this prestigious championship.
