Pune: A woman (40) died after falling from the eighth floor of a mall in Pune Camp around 4.30pm on Thursday.The deceased was a member of the housekeeping staff of the mall. She was a resident of Somwar Peth. Rahul Pawar, sub-inspector of the Bund Garden police, said, “Three housekeeping staff members, including the deceased, were cleaning the terrace of the mall.”He said, “There was an opening for a duct on the rooftop, which has been covered with a plywood sheet. The woman stepped onto the plywood while cleaning the area. However, the plywood collapsed, and she fell through the duct in the mall’s parking area.”“We have registered an accidental death report,” Pawar said.
