Actress Madhumita Sarcar, known for her role as Pakhi from Bojhena Se Bojhena, is engaged to be married to Debmalya Chakravorty, an IT professional. The couple were planning a winter wedding this year, but now sources tell us that the wedding is scheduled to happen on January 23, 2026 at a rajbari in Kolkata.
In an interview to Calcutta Times in March this year, Madhumita shared that their bond thrives on four essentials – food, mountains, books and films. When we asked her: Is a wedding in the works? She said, “Oh yes! We are planning to tie the knot in either December this year or next year, more so because winter is our favourite season.” So, what drew Madhumita to Debmalya? “He’s my best friend forever. He listens while I talk non-stop—he just smiles, be ..being the shy one. Every day, he makes me a better person,” she said with a smile.
