Virat Kohli, Anushka Sharma spotted barefoot in Vrindavan after visiting Premanand Ji Maharaj on Wednesday, videos go viral on the internet – WATCH |
With the beginning of a new month, Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma once again made their way to spiritual leader Premanand Maharaj’s ashram in Vrindavan. Videos that surfaced on the internet on Wednesday captured the couple arriving at the ashram dressed in simple attire, with both covering their faces with masks. The visit comes weeks after the couple sought blessings at the same ashram following Royal Challengers Bengaluru’s memorable IPL triumph over the Gujarat Titans. Kohli, who played a key role in RCB’s campaign, was accompanied by Anushka during that spiritual trip as well.Known for their regular visits to Vrindavan, Virat and Anushka have often turned to Premanand Maharaj for spiritual guidance, frequently seeking his teachings on balancing life beyond fame, success and public attention.Reflecting on RCB’s title-winning campaign after the IPL victory, Kohli praised the team’s overall balance and depth. “All the batsmen shipped in as well. I feel so happy to play in a group where we have balance, we have strength, and we are an all-around strong team and that’s why we have the confidence we have on the field right now,” he said. The batting great also admitted that the atmosphere ahead of this final was markedly different from the previous season, crediting the squad’s belief in its own abilities. “I said to a few of the boys that it doesn’t feel like the same pressure as last year; we knew what kind of ability we have in the group,” he said.“We topped the table; there’s a reason why we got here first and we just said one thing – if we stick to our cricket, if we execute our plans, we are the best team in the competition and that’s why we’ve done well so far. In the group stage we ended up topping the league, and the skill sets we have, the maturity and composure of the guys showed through again tonight. It was a clinical performance throughout the tournament,” Kohli said.Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma tied the knot in 2017. The couple are parents to two children—a daughter, Vamika, and a son, Akaay.
