Man, grandson suffocate to death in Nawada
Tragedy struck Nawada’s Triloki Bigha village as a man and his grandson succumbed to suffocation from a charcoal heater. Three other family members remain critically ill after being found unconscious in their room. Neighbours alerted by the prolonged silence broke down the door to discover the grim scene. The deceased were identified as Shri Yadav and his grandson Ashish Kumar.

Patna: Two people, including a man and his grandson, allegedly died of suffocation while using ‘borsi’ (charcoal heater) in Triloki Bigha village under Mufassil police station area of Nawada district on Sunday morning. Three other members of the family, who were sleeping in the same room, are critically ill.When the family members didn’t open the door for a long time, the neighbours broke open the door and found everyone unconscious. All five were rushed to Pawapuri Medical Hospital, where Shri Yadav (50) and his grandson, Ashish Kumar (4), were declared dead. Shri Yadav’s wife, daughter, and granddaughter are undergoing treatment in the hospital.Mufassil inspector Pankaj Kumar said: “The two bodies have been handed over to the family members after the postmortem.”
