PUNE: The days before Pune realtor Ketan Agarwal’s alleged murder are under scrutiny, with investigators examining a series of incidents surrounding his relationship with fiancée Siya Goyal.A key episode being looked into is their planned pre-wedding trip to Bali earlier in June. The cab driver who drove Siya to Mumbai airport claimed that she appeared reluctant to sit inside the cab.The cab driver, in a statement to investigators, allegedly said that Siya did not want to sit in the vehicle. It was her brother Sahil Goyal who allegedly made her sit inside the cab. During the journey, Sahil and Siya reportedly kept arguing with each other. The Bali trip was later disrupted after Ketan’s passport went missing. Police claim Siya sabotaged the plan by taking away the passport, as she allegedly did not want to go ahead with the trip because Chetan Chaudhary, whom police allege was in a relationship with her, opposed it.Investigators said Siya allegedly stole the passport from the car near the Khalapur toll plaza, tore it or damaged it, and dumped it in a women’s washroom at a food mall. Police said they are probing whether the passport can be recovered. The incident has become part of the wider investigation into the alleged conspiracy to kill Ketan, with police examining the accused’s movements, digital records, deleted chats and the motive behind the crime.Siya Goyal (20) and Chetan Chaudhary (22) have been arrested for allegedly plotting Ketan Agarwal’s murder and pushing him off Lohagad Fort in Pune district on June 18. Police have alleged that the two viewed Ketan as an obstacle to their relationship.(With inputs from PTI)
