Manas seeks HC relief from arrest in job scam | Kolkata News

Kolkata: Former minister Manas Bhunia on Wednesday moved the Calcutta High Court seeking protection from arrest in connection with an alleged job scam case. The matter is likely to come up for hearing before Justice Saugata Bhattacharyya later this week.A complaint was lodged in Bhunia’s Sabang Assembly constituency, alleging that the former Trinamool minister had accepted Rs 5 lakh from a man on the promise of securing a job for his wife. The woman was employed but was allegedly removed from her position after working for only two months.
