A promising 26-year-old national-level bodybuilder, Sushil Kumar, tragically passed away in Davanagere following a workout, reportedly from cardiac arrest.

HUBBALLI: A 26-year old national-level bodybuilder died after a workout – allegedly due to cardiac arrest – in Davanagere Tuesday night. The deceased is Sushil Kumar, 26, a resident of KTJ Nagar. Being active in bodybuilding competitions, he had won numerous awards at state and national levels. The youngster was preparing for an international-level bodybuilding competition, police said. His family said after finishing his workout at a gym, he returned home by 8.30pm and had dinner. “However, he suffered some uneasiness and suddenly collapsed. Though he was rushed to a private hospital, he did not survive,” they added. His sudden death, despite being fit, has left his family in shock, sources pointed out.
