Travis Kelce made sure he was by Taylor Swift‘s side for one of the biggest nights of her career, flying from the Kansas City Chiefs minicamp to New York City to cheer on his fiancée at her Songwriters Hall of Fame induction on Thursday June 11. Kelce, 36, arrived just in time to watch Swift, also 36, receive the honour at the Marriott Marquis Hotel, where she was seated alongside her mother Andrea Swift and his mother Donna Kelce.According to PEOPLE, the Chiefs tight end had been required to attend the team’s three-day minicamp programme, which wrapped up earlier on Thursday. The timing of the minicamp had also meant Kelce was unable to attend Game 4 of the NBA Finals on Wednesday June 10, during which the New York Knicks staged an epic comeback victory against the San Antonio Spurs at Madison Square Garden, where Swift had been watching with friends. After the game, Kelce went on an Instagram liking spree of photos featuring Swift at the arena.

Swift is being inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame alongside Walter Afanasieff, Terry Britten and Graham Lyle, Paul Stanley and Gene Simmons of KISS, Kenny Loggins, Alanis Morissette and Christopher ‘Tricky’ Stewart. The induction makes her the youngest woman ever to receive the honour. Stevie Wonder currently holds the record as the youngest inductee overall, having been 32 at the time of his induction in 1983.The 14-time Grammy winner submitted five songs for consideration, including ‘All Too Well (10 Minute Version)’, ‘Blank Space’, ‘Anti-Hero’, ‘Love Story’ and ‘The Last Great American Dynasty’.
